Ingredients

1cupmilk
1cupsteel-cut oats
1mediumapple – peeled, cored, and chopped
2tablespoonsbrown sugar
1 ½tablespoonsbutter, cut into 6 pieces (Optional)
½teaspoonground cinnamon
¼teaspoonsalt
Directions
Combine water, milk, oats, apple, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt in a slow cooker; mix well.
Cook on Low for 1 hour. Reduce heat to Simmer or Warm and cook for 7 to 8 more hours.
