Yield:
1 (9-inch) pecan pie
Ingredients
Directions
Gather all your ingredients. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Mix white sugar, brown sugar, and butter together in a bowl.
Stir in corn syrup, eggs, and bourbon, then fold in pecans.
Pour mixture into the pie crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue to bake until the center is set but slightly jiggly, 25 to 30 minutes more.
Remove from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack before slicing. Pie will set as it cools.
Cook’s Note
Stir 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips into the filling for a bourbon–chocolate pecan pie.
Once the pie is cooled completely, use a sharp serrated knife dipped in hot water for neat slices.
Bake filling in tart shells for fun, party-size bourbon pecan pies. Reduce baking time to 18 to 20 minutes.
