Slow-Cooker Apple Raspberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 12green apples – peeled, cored, and cut into chunks
  • 1(12 ounce) packagefrozen raspberries
  • ¾cupwater
  • ⅓cupbrown sugar, or more to taste
  • 1teaspoonground cinnamon
  • ¼teaspoonground nutmeg, or more to taste (Optional)

  • Directions

    Combine apples, raspberries, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a slow cooker crock.

    Cook on Low until apples can easily be mashed, about 6 hours.



    Cook's Notes:

    I personally do not really like nutmeg so usually leave it out, but nutmeg lovers should go for it.

    In the past, I have omitted sugar for stevia. I add it after cooking time to taste, and it works well.
