    Cook’s Note

This recipe makes enough filling to fill two 9-inch pies. Spoon filling into unbaked pie crusts; cover each with a top crust, seal, and vent. Bake at 400 degrees F (200degrees C) for 35 to 40 minutes.

If you prefer to make mini mince pies or tarts, spoon 1 tablespoon of filling into mini tart shells and top with lattice strips or streusel crumbs before baking for 20 to 25 minutes.
