Ingredients

  • 4cupspacked fresh basil leaves
  • 1cupfreshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 1cupolive oil
  • ⅔cuppine nuts (Optional)
  • 6clovesgarlic, minced
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

  • Directions

    Combine basil, cheese, and olive oil in a food processor. Pulse to combine. Add pine nuts, garlic, salt, and pepper. Pulse until mixture is smooth and blended.

    Pour mixture onto a large sheet of plastic wrap; roll into a tube shape and seal. Store in the refrigerator until needed.



    Recipe Tip

    You can use walnuts instead of pine nuts if desired.
