Ingredients

  • cooking spray
  • 1cupwhole wheat flour
  • 1teaspoonbaking powder
  • ½teaspoonbaking soda
  • ¼teaspoonsalt
  • 2ripe bananas, mashed
  • ¾cupbrown sugar
  • ⅓cupunsweetened crunchy peanut butter
  • ¼cupplain fat-free yogurt
  • egg
  • 1tablespooncanola oil
  • ¾cupsemisweet chocolate chips

  • Directions

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat a 9×5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.

    Whisk whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl. Set aside.

    Combine mashed bananas, brown sugar, peanut butter, yogurt, egg, and canola oil in a separate bowl; stir into flour mixture until thoroughly combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

    Spoon batter into the prepared loaf pan.

    Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned at edges, and a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, 40 to 50 minutes.

    Cool bread in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes before removing from the pan to finish cooling on the rack.
